Down Syndrome Awareness
My daughter is living with Down Syndrome and we are attempting to help raise awareness and money by participating in the National Down Syndrome Society’s annual Buddy Walk. We will be walking in the Atlanta Buddy Walk to show our support for the more than 350,000 individuals with Down syndrome in the United States. We want to do our part to make sure that each individual is given every opportunity to reach his or her full potential. This is a chance for us as a participant and you as a sponsor to send a message of acceptance — and a belief in the abilities and contributions of ALL people.
Every step we take, every dollar we raise will help ensure that each individual with Down syndrome in the United States will be able to do just that. Last year alone, over $9.5 million dollars was raised nationwide for local and national education, research and advocacy programs.
Please support us in our walk efforts. Your Buddy Walk contribution will support local programs of the Down Syndrome Association of Atlanta for people with Down syndrome and their families, as well as the national education, research and advocacy initiatives of the National Down Syndrome Society. Our combined local and national efforts are enhancing quality of life for children and adults with Down syndrome.
